The short version
AA Hotels MPD runs entirely inside your browser. It has no user accounts, no analytics, no telemetry, and no crash reporting. Bernot Software L.L.C. operates no server that receives your data, and the extension makes no network request of its own to anywhere. We cannot see what you search for, what you look at, or what you book.
The extension reads the AAdvantage Hotels pages you are already on in order to calculate miles per dollar, and saves what it calculated on your device so it can show you a history. That is the whole of it, and it is described below.
What the extension reads
The extension is active on www.aadvantagehotels.com and nowhere else. On those pages it reads two things:
- The page itself: hotel names, room types, prices, fees, and the miles each rate earns, as displayed to you
- The site’s own data responses: when AAdvantage Hotels fetches search results, map pins, or room rates, the extension reads those responses as they arrive in your tab, because they carry the same numbers in a more reliable form than the rendered page does
It reads those responses; it does not create them. The extension issues no requests to AAdvantage Hotels, to us, or to anyone else, and it adds nothing to the requests the site makes. It does not read your AAdvantage account number, your name, your payment details, or any booking you complete, none of which it needs in order to divide miles by dollars.
What the extension stores, and where
Everything the extension saves is stored in your own browser. Nothing is uploaded, and we hold no copy.

The rate history amounts to a record of the hotel searches you have run: which places, on which dates, for how many people. It is worth knowing that it is there. It stays on the device that created it, it is never sent anywhere, and you can delete all of it in one click, as described below.
One caveat about settings. Your settings are kept in Chrome’s synced storage, so if you have Chrome sync turned on, those six preferences travel between your own signed-in Chrome installations through Google, under Google’s terms rather than ours. They are preferences only; no rate history, search, or browsing data is ever put in synced storage.
What the extension sends, and to whom
Nothing, to nobody. There is no destination to list. The extension contains no analytics library, no advertising or tracking pixel, no third-party SDK, and no code that transmits anything off your device. Exports are written by your browser to your own disk.

AAdvantage Hotels is a single-page application, so moving between searches does not reload the page. This permission lets the extension notice that the address in a tab has changed and recalculate. It checks whether that address is on aadvantagehotels.com and ignores every tab that is not; it does not record or transmit the addresses it sees. |
What the extension does not do
- It does not collect analytics, usage statistics, or diagnostic reports
- It does not track your browsing, on AAdvantage Hotels or anywhere else
- It does not read or store your AAdvantage credentials, account number, or payment information
- It does not create an account or a profile, here or anywhere
- It does not sell, share, rent, or transfer your data, and it never receives any to begin with
- It is not used for creditworthiness or lending purposes, and no data from it is used for any purpose unrelated to showing you miles per dollar
- We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13; this is a tool for booking hotel stays
This web page is not the extension. Like the rest of this site, it is a static page that sets no cookies and runs no analytics, as described in our company privacy policy.
Your control over your data
Because everything stays in your browser, you control it directly:
- See it: click the toolbar icon to open the dashboard, which shows everything that has been recorded
- Export it: Query History & Export writes the whole of it to a CSV or SQL file you keep
- Delete it: Delete Stored History & Data in the dashboard erases the local database outright; individual locations and records can be removed one at a time
- Never record it: full query history is off unless you turn it on, and turning it back off stops new records being kept
- Remove everything: uninstalling the extension removes its settings and its local database from that browser
Since we hold no copy of any of it, requests to access, correct, or delete data held by us do not apply; there is nothing on our side to act on. What AAdvantage Hotels itself collects when you use their website is governed by American Airlines’ own privacy policy, not this one.
Changes to this policy
If the extension’s data handling changes, this page will be updated and the “last updated” date revised. Material changes will be noted in the release notes on the Chrome Web Store listing.
