The earn rate AAdvantage Hotels doesn’t show you.
AAdvantage Hotels tells you the price and it tells you the miles. It never tells you the ratio, which is the only number that says whether a stay is worth booking there at all. AA Hotels MPD works it out for every result on the page, while you are looking at it.
No account, no sign-in, no servers of ours to talk to. Everything it computes, it computes in your browser.
Miles per dollar, on every rate you can see.
The extension reads the prices and earnings already on the page, divides one by the other, and writes the answer back next to the rate. Searching, filtering, and opening a hotel all keep working the way they did.
An MPD figure beside every rate
Search results and room rates each get their miles-per-dollar number in line. Anything earning more than 20 miles per dollar is picked out in bold green, so a strong rate is visible without reading a single row.
The best rate on the page, up top
A banner at the head of the search results and the room list names the highest earn rate currently showing, which is usually the only thing you wanted to know before scrolling.
It keeps up with the page
Change the dates, move the map, apply a filter, open a hotel: the figures are recalculated as the site updates, rather than going stale or disappearing until you reload.
Your own history, on your own machine
Rates you have already seen are kept in the browser and rolled up into a dashboard: best earn rates by city, by length of stay, by hotel chain, and by time of year. Export it to CSV or SQL whenever you want it somewhere else.
Set to how you actually search
Options to count bonus-mile offers in the calculation, to expand room rates and room types automatically, and to decide whether full query history is kept at all.
Nothing phones home
There is no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, and no server on our end receiving anything. The privacy policy is short for the simple reason that there is little to describe.
There is nothing to set up.

Install it
From the Chrome Web Store. It asks for access to
aadvantagehotels.comand nothing else. -
Search as usual
Go to AAdvantage Hotels and run any search. The extension notices the results and annotates them; you do not have to click anything.

Compare rooms
Open a hotel and every room type carries its own earn rate, which is where the difference between two rates at the same property usually shows up.

Look back
Click the toolbar icon for the dashboard: what you have seen, sorted by how well it earned, and exportable.
If something looks wrong, tell me.
The extension reads a website it does not control, so a redesign on AA’s end can break it. Report a problem at the issue tracker, or email adam@bernot.dev if you would rather not open a GitHub account to do it.
